Beaver the Bird Feeder was an element of the City of Beavercreek 25th Anniversary celebration. It was a commissioned piece along with 24 other painted fiberglass beavers, done by different artists. They were site installed during the summer of 2005 and then auctioned in the fall during a benefit dinner at the Nutter Center. Beaver the Bird Feeder was homage to all the backyard gardeners and birdfeeders in the city. The Stella d’Oro surrounding the beaver is the city flower. The butterflies and birds are of local varieties. Beaver the Bird Feeder was installed on N. Fairfield near the bike path and was visited by many birds coming to partake of the birdseed. He was sponsored and then subsequently purchased by local business UES and currently resides in their corporate lobby.
